So as you are probably aware, headlights are very important when it comes to driving and even more so in the winter months when even during day light there may be times when it goes quite dull or there is heavy rain or fog and you need to turn your lights on.
You may have seen a recent influx in LED lighting in the market over the last few years and this is in the home, in the workplace as well as in our cars. LED’s are more energy efficient and are designed to last a lot longer than the usual halogen lights, they also do not get hot like halogen bulbs so are thought to be safer in kid’s rooms or lamps etc. These LED’s have been popular in many homes and businesses, but car owners are now looking to upgrade their headlights and even interior lights too.
The fact that they last a lot longer is usually enough of a selling point to attract many people who simply do not want the hassle of changing bulbs or finding that their car has failed a MOT due to insufficient lighting. They also often give much better visibility as well, so not only will you have to change them less, you will be able to see better when your driving.
LED’s use a fraction of the current to run compared to halogen lights and this could mean less drain on the battery. There are so many plus points, it seems hard to find a reason not to.
