Dealing with an Overheating Car Radiator

If your car is overheating and you’re often finding plenty of smoke seeping out of the gaps in the bonnet, and then make sure you do the following checks

  • Check your coolant level, this is the most obvious cause, and a low level will certainly see your radiator overheat.
  • Check any fans or malfunction on your radiator, and this is easier said than done, so you may want to consult an experienced mechanic.
  • Check for a build of dirt or grime, and this s could mean that the coolant is not travelling to the right destination inside of the radiator, meaning certain parts are overheating.
  • If you can’t spot any glaringly obvious problems then always make sure you consult a mechanic, and it’s always a case of the earlier, the better.
