Unfortunately cars often have a lot of problems throughout their life span but on annoying problem which may often take a bit of solving is problems with lights. You may find that suddenly you have a light that stops working. You may initially think it is just a bulb but often replacing light bulbs is not as straight forward as you may like. Some cars even require you to remove the front bumper to be able to access the light bulbs. You can get bulbs online or from places such as Halfords but make sure you look up your model to get the right bulb. If you are in any doubt then you could always take the old bulb in with you.

IF you replace the bulb and it still doesn’t illuminate then it may mean that there is a bigger fault. The first thing to check is the fuse for that light. The fuse box is located in different places on different cars so refer to your handbook to find out where it is and which fuse controls the light that isn’t working. Once you have replaced the fuse try the light again. If it is still not working after all of that you may have an electrical fault which can be a quite hard to find. This is the time when you may need to take the car in to a garage to have a look for you.
