Splashing the cash on your dream car

Lots of people are very enthusiastic about cars and have a dream car that they aspire to own. For some people it may be something sporty and fast for others it may be something that offers a lot of luxury. Whatever the car may be, you may be tempted to spend a small fortune on getting it.

Often some sports cars are not as expensive to buy second hand as you may think they will be. For example, the Mazda RX8 which was first released in 2003 attracted a sale price of over £25,000. Less than fifteen years on and you can now pick up a RX-8 for less than a thousand pounds. Often cars like this will lose value very quickly and make them much more affordable but you can expected to spend quite a lot of fuel, repairs and running costs. The insurance on these types of cars is often quite high and because of issues with emissions you may also find that you are stung on the road tax. Often sporty cars use a lot of petrol or diesel and if they go wrong can be expensive to repair, so although the initial purchase of the vehicle may not be a lot, the ongoing expenses can soon add up.
