When it comes to cars, most of us say that we do not clean it or have it cleaned anywhere near as often as we should do. It may be that you do not have the equipment or room to clean it at home, or you live miles away from a car wash and only get the chance to go when you are in town. But are you making your car lose money quicker than it should do?
If you leave your car parked under trees and the sap gets on it or you do not remove bird poo, this can easily damage your paintwork. Once it has damaged the paint, it can be hard to restore it without having to fork out for an expensive spray job. If you come to sell the vehicle, this will often get picked up and you may find yourself having to drop the price to sell the car.
Washing your car on a weekly basis and cleaning the interiors once every couple of weeks can make it easier to sell when you try to and help it retain some of its value. It may be that if the car looks tatty on the outside, the potential buyer will assume it has not been looked after mechanically anyway.
