Cars are always going wrong. It can seem that every month there is something that needs to be fixed or replaced on your vehicle, especially if it is an older, higher mileage vehicle. This can very quickly add up and with garages adding their percent on to all parts plus hefty labour charges it can make a huge dent in any wallet. If you are looking at ways you can save a bit of money then why not try and source some of the parts yourself.
There are many places where members of the public can buy car parts at a discount price and often you will be able to buy them at a similar price to a garage if you find the right place. Some garages ill not like you doing this as they often make easy money on parts and will try and talk you out of it, but if you find a good garage that understands you want to save money then there shouldn’t be a problem in them fitting them for you.
