The weather certainly has taken a bit of a dip in terms of temperatures over the last few days and it is clear that winter is well on its way. Although at present most of the UK have not had much in the way of ice and snow, it is bound to start appearing over the coming weeks as we head into November.
One task that all motorists say they hate to do is defrost their car in the morning before setting off to work or on the school run. Not only do you often get very cold when having to stand and scrap the ice off but you may also find that you are late as you hadn’t allowed the extra time to clear the screen before your journey. IT is important that you do defrost your screen correctly as it can be very dangerous if not. If you start to drive when it is not properly defrosted you may fin that it frosts back up again as your driving along.
You can use de-icer and a scrapper to remove the worse of the ice but remember to go all round the car and not just create a little peep hole through the window screen. It is best to start the car up when doing this and put the heaters on to help the ice defrost.
