Often it is very hard to keep the outside of your car clean during the winter months. You often find that the grit or dirt on the roads will create a layer of dirt after even a short journey. It is important to ensure that your number plate is free from dirt and that your lights are also clear.

The inside of your car is a little bit easier to keep clean as there are steps you can take to alter and ensure the mud and dirt don’t end up in your seats or in the footwell. Firstly ensure you invest in a good set of car mats. Buying ones that were designed for the car will mean that they fit properly and the front mats often have clips to secure them in place. During the winter you may be going out for walks and end up with muddy shoes or even a muddy dog. To protect the inside of your car, try and cover the floor and seats with old towels. These can then be removed after and washed. Make sure you keep ok top of cleaning the inside of the vehicle. If food or drink stains are  left, they can be impossible to get out.
