If you have recently had to book your car in for an MOT then it’s the perfect time for you to get other little jobs done that may be required. If the garage does repair work as well as MOT then you may wish to ask them if they would do the work at the same time. This means that you will not have to be without your vehicle again by booking it in separately and if the jobs are relatively simply you may find that they will charge you slightly less to have all the work done together.
If there are jobs that need doing on your car that may make it fail the MOT then be sure to get these booked in first as if the car fails you may find that you have to take it back in again another day for the retest.
Ideally, you should try and have your MOT done at least a week before it runs out to give you chance to get any work done that may be required and to have it retested.
Some people choose to take their car to an MOT only garage where they know there is no risk of been quoted for work that does not really need doing.
